THE ONTARIO STREET CONGREGATION

ABOUT US

The Ontario Street Church of Christ in a non-denominational fellowship of Christians seeking to serve God as taught in the Bible.  The Bible is the only guide we use for our teaching and other work.  Our church has been at this location for over 40 years.

OUR MINISTRIES

We have many active ministries including, Education, Missions, Benevolence, Fellowship, Evangelism, Administration, Plant, Worship, Men’s Group and Ladies Ministry.

The Education Ministry is responsible for providing quality Bible Classes for the Ontario Street congregation.  We offer classes for all ages as a part of our Sunday morning and Wednesday night curriculum.  We also offer a monthly Ladies Class and Men’s Class.

The Ladies Ministry maintains a number of service projects to serve the needs of the church and community.  Some of the service venues of the ministry are:  visitation to nursing homes and making quilts for needy members of the community.

The Missions and Evangelism Ministry provides a way for our members to support outreach to the local community and around the world.  The Ontario Street congregation supports missionaries in Haiti, Quebec, Japan, and Indonesia presently. We collect loose change on the first Sunday of each month and send 20 Indonesian children to school with that collection.  We have also sent enough money for the congregation in Semarang, Indonesia to purchase land and build a church building.

The Evangelism Ministry has co-ordinated a FriendSpeak  program to teach English to people in the community using the book of Luke.

The Fellowship Ministry plans activities to encourage members and friends.

The Benevolence Ministry is charged with meeting the needs of people who require assistance with groceries to feed their families. To meet this aim the church maintains a pantry with non-perishable food items.

The Church also has an Alcoholics Anonymous group that meets at our building.
